Are Japanese teachers allowed facial piercings? I'm thinking of doing a TEFL course someday, just wondered?

well japan is not that orthodox anymore. Are Japanese teachers allowed facial piercings? I'm thinking of doing a TEFL course someday, just wondered?
Mostly the answer is ';no';. Teachers need to follow higher standards in terms of dress and manners than other professions. A typical teaching job in Japan will have a dress code that will not allow facial piercings or tattoos. These have different cultural relvance and are seen as gangster/low class.

Some art or film schools may not care as much. I know of some snowboard teachers in Japan who have facial piercings.
