Does anyone have any home made facial masque recipes?

i'm open for any ideas.

thanks!Does anyone have any home made facial masque recipes?
plain yogurt is a good exfoliating mask that helps maintain the acid pH of skin. If you want added brightening/fading of dark spots, add a couple drops of lemon juice. For added moisture, add a little melted honey. To tighten pores, a mask made of egg whites and a few drops lemon juice works nicely. Oatmeal is a good addition to any homemade mask; the amino acids in it help draw moisture to the skin. A few drops of glycerol (glycerine) would do this as well. I'm actually trying to start up a blog that adresses makeup tips, tricks, product reviews and skincare tips etc such as these. If you would like, you can check it out as it grows (i just started it two days ago). Hope this helpsDoes anyone have any home made facial masque recipes?
Lemon Facial Mask

2 tablespoons sour cream

1 teaspoon finely ground oatmeal

1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

1 drop lemon essential oil

Cucumber slices (optional)

Mix the sour cream, oatmeal, lemon juice and essential together in a bowl. To use, massage over clean face and neck skin and the rest for 10 minutes (with cucumber slices if you have them) over your eyes. Rinse well with warm water and follow with toner and moisturizer.

Always use Lemon Facial Mask immediately for best results -- the lemon juice will cause the sour cream to curdle if it is not used quickly.

This is a good one too:

This simple (only two ingredients!) cooling mask is great for soothing a sunburnt face. It's great for all skin types.

INGREDIENTS:

1 tbsp natural yogurt, room temperature (not lowfat or non-fat)

1 tsp runny honey (microwave for a few minutes to soften hardened honey)

PREPARATION:

Combine mixture, then apply to face.

Let sit for 15 minutes.

Wash face with steaming washcloth.

For dry skin, use an extra tsp of honey.

Oily skin? Add a few drops of fresh lime juice.

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup natural yogurt (we like it just-out-of-the-fridge cold)

陆 cup oatmeal (any type of basic oatmeal works here)

PREPARATION:

Mix the ingredients together.

Apply to the skin for 10-15 minutes.

Wash off mask with a washcloth steamed in the microwave (careful that it's not too hot).

Two other fun options for oatmeal face masks:

Egg whites.

Mix the oatmeal and an egg white. Let the mixture dry on face, then gently wash off with a few splashes of warm water. Follow with a steaming washcloth to the face.

Peptol-Bismol. A friend of mine uses Pepto-Bismol with oatmeal for her masks. She got this tip years ago from a magazine. She suggests the active ingredient (bismuth subsalicylate) in Pepto-Bismol soothes your stomach as well as your face.
My mother used to work in a nursing home and she would remark on how one of her patients had the smoothest softest skin she had ever touched. One day while her patient's daughter was visiting my mother commented on how soft her patient's skin was and the daughter gladly gave my mom her own home formula.

I've been making this for years now and usually give away these at Yule for my friends and family.

This is really simple and you will be quite pleased.

Mix by thirds,

1/3 vitamin E oil

1/3 baby oil (I have used the gel type)

1/3 petrolum jelly (which can be substituted with any butter - almond butter, shea butter.

Whip together until a creamy texture is produced.

Stores well when covered for up to 2 months, have had feedback that it will last for over 6 months when covered.

Apply every evening or morning, depending on the moisture (or lack of) in your skin, you may be able to apply 10 minutes before applying makeup.

Also works great for calloused hands and feet, elbows and knees.

Give it a try, when I purchase my ingredients I usually invest apx $15.00 and make enough (1 oz jars), for about 10 people. For containers, I purchase of the internet or the travel containers at like (dreads saying this -acckkk!!),walmart.

Edit: my bust - i didn't see masque, this is a face cream, sorry.
I've tried avacado, and that works great. My daughter also made a banana, oatmeal and honey mask that was wonderful. Here are some more ideas

After washing the rice the first time, take the water and save it, don't throw it away. Use it as a facial masque.
you can try mixing cornmeal, honey, and eggs together, thats the only one i know of though
