What is a good home-made facial mask for combination skin??

i have combination skin and its so hard to choose from all the producs on the market today. What is a good home-made facial mask for combination skin??
Combination Skin Type

Most of us have a combination skin. The middle of the face (patches on the forehead, the nose and the chin) is shiny with dilated ostia and a coarse texture. The rest of the face is either normal or dry. Sometimes, the difference between the two areas is great; if such is the case with your skin, then you would have to treat each part of the face accordingly - the dry areas as for dry skin and the central face as for oily skin.

Caring for Combination Skin Type

If your face is partly oily and partly dry, you've got combination skin and there are several ways to care for it so that you can keep both types balanced and looking good.

Use a mild cleanser on your entire face up to twice a day.

Use a good moisturizer on the dry areas. - Moisturizers work by either increasing the penetration of water into the skin or by reducing the rate at which water is evaporating from the skin surface.

Look for products that normalize your skin, such as those that contain alpha hydroxy acids - Alpha hydroxy acids are derived from fruit, milk and sugar cane and have antiinflammatory properties. When applied to the skin they help remove dead skin cells (exfoliate), giving a younger appearance.

Use oil-absorbing makeup on oily areas to control shine.

Use a sunscreen, minimum SPF.

Cleaning

Face mask is only applied only on a clean skin. Use cleansing cream or cleansing-milk to clean the face. If your skin is oily, wash it with soap and tepid water. If the skin is dry, wipe cream with cotton swabs.

Steaming

Next comes steaming. Steaming helps in opening of the pores, thus the skin gets the full benefit of face mask. Take a broad pot and boil water in it. Cover your face with a big towel and put it on the mouth of the vessel. You can put peppermint, rose-petals, mint-petals or petals of marigold in the water, if you so desire. Dry your face by patting it gently.

Face Mask

The last step in facial process is face mask and it is also very important You can buy face mask from the market or from internet but you can also prepare it at home. If you are using the market product, then you must read all the instructions on the label very carefully before use. Apply the paste on your face and neck leaving the portion'

below your eyes. Place cotton wool swabs dipped in rose water on your eyes and lie down calmly. As long as the paste is on your face do not smile or talk. If possible, keep your feet at a higher level.

* Homemade Face Mask for Combination Skin

A rose-based mask is perfect for balancing out the oily and dry areas of your skin.

6 rose petals

2 tbsps rosewater

1 tbsp natural yogurt (go for full-fat %26amp; skip the flavored ones)

1 tbsp naturally runny honey (you can warm honey in a microwave for 8 seconds to get it runny. Plus, we find the warmth is particularly soothing for this mask).

Soak rose petals, then crush them in a bowl. Add the rosewater, yogurt and honey.

Don't have the rose petals? No problem. Mix well %26amp; apply to the skin. Leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse.

* Normal, combination skin, oily and blemished skin

Mix one egg white, 1/2 cup cooked instant oatmeal, a teaspoon olive oil and a few drops of lemon juice until smooth. Spread on your face and neck, leave on for 15 – 30 min then rinse with lukewarm water. Few drops lemon juice will help to reduce blackheads while egg white will leave your skin feel “tight” after this mask application. What is a good home-made facial mask for combination skin??
An egg...

the yellow is great for the drier part of your face

the white is great for the oilier areas

Break in a dish, mix with a fork, apply, wait, and peel off.
cumshot works the best
Egg yoke is really good for combination skin. Leave it on for 15 minutes, it will turn hard and begin to crack, then wash it off!

It smells, but it works and helps exfoliate!
one time i read in vogue that if you use bananas and honey mixed with egg whites it works really good. i normally use lemmons and egg whites because i have freckles!~

Egg whites are the best, because they soften the skin and do not make it oilyer. You have to whip them with an wire whip or egg beater to make them foamier and then just pat in on our face. leave on for about five minutes and wash off with warm water, volla.

You are beautiful just the way you are
Not to be gross but the person who answered first is correct. Semen has tons of proteins and vitamins that would give you the best complexion. My nursing instructor told me this and it is true. I know that the thought of it may be repulsive, but give it a try if you are sexually active with a steady and safe partner. If this is not an option, try mixing a little olive oil, oatmeal, sugar, and pure maple syrup. Not only does it moisturize and clean, it is edible!
Neutrogena has a good line of masks and cleansers for combination skin. Just go to a drugstore and look at what they have and you'll probably be able to find something. If you feel like splurging, go to a make-up counter at the mall and ask what you should try. This month's Seventeen has a good article on what to use. At a drugstore you can find little packets of facials goop and such so try looking for stuff like that. I just got a moisturizer from Neutrogena for combination skin and it is phenomenal, you just have to look for it! You could also consult a dermatologist to find out what you should be looking for. good luck!

mix raw honey (from a health food store) turmeric, ground orange peel (to exfoliate), bentonite clay, lemon juice, cinnamon, and a few tablespoons of cornstarch. Add a few drops of an unscented baby wash, like Johnsons head to toe. This is a jazzed up recipie from Cleopatra's beauty secrets. The only additive is the J%26amp;J wash for extra cleansing, which can be omitted at your discretion.
