How can I do a home facial???

I don't want to go to the salon and spend thirty bucks every month. How can I do a home facial???
Well the most important thing is that you have a cleanser, toner, exfoliant and moisturiser suited to your skin. If you have oily skin, look for products that prmote that they're ';oil free'; or suited to oily skin type, just as if you have very dry skin you'd go for products with a high moisture content.

The first step is to open your pores, to allow any dirt, etc. out. I find the best way to achieve this easily is to get a large bowl, fill it with boiling water from the kettle. If you have oily/blemished skin, try adding a few drops of eucalyptus essential oil to it, but if you have dry skin give it a miss. Get a towel, and put it over your head and the bowl, making sure your face isnt so close to the bowl that it's scalded by the steam. Inhale for approximately 5 minutes. This is not only great for your skin, but it is also great for your sinus cavity as it helps clear it out, making you feel fresh and renewed in more ways than one!

Once you've finished with the bowl, you can now cleanse your skin. Get an elastic headband to hold your hair off your face, and lather up, following the directions on the back of the product. Repeat with the exfoliant, followed by the toner.

BEFORE you moisturise, you need to close your pores. Heat opened them, so you need to get a cool, wet facewasher and hold it to your face for around 30 seconds to a minute. Dry your face with a fresh facewasher, and apply moisturiser, making sure you don't use too much which can leave your skin feeling clogged and oily.

Every other month, you can do a facial peel or mud mask following exfoliation but this isn't necessary. Also, if you want to, you can use the cucumber on the eyelids trick, though make sure you aren't allergic to cucumber before you attempt it.

Good luck!
